Additional information / good to know
When developing our application, we write our code framework agnostic, which means that the code is not tied to one framework. In order not to re-invent everything ourselves, we use a multitude of standard libraries, which we load via the Composer package manager. These are libraries of Symfony, Laravel and Zend, among others.
To make it easier to replace a library when it is no longer maintained, we make use of a wrapper. When looking for a new library, we always prefer a library that complies with a PSR standard. In this way we are not dependent on the success of a single framework and at the same time we do not produce code for which a good library is already available.
For the architecture we use the “Hexagonal Architecture”. This is based on the idea of Layers, Ports and Adapters. The aim is to write good testable code in which the business logic is separated from the infrastructure as much as possible. We are advised on this by Matthias Noback, who regularly gives talks and training courses and writes books on this subject. (https://matthiasnoback.nl/tags/hexagonal%20architecture/)
In order to develop PinkWeb’s software, it is therefore important that you are good at writing object-oriented code, also outside a fixed framework and that you have knowledge of available libraries that make the life of a PHP developer easier.
