What you will do
- Work closely with our UX/UI Designer and implement new features on existing Shopify themes.
- Build and maintain eCommerce stores developed within the Shopify framework.
- Ensure consistency across multiple brands and implement best practises, such as image optimization, SEO optimization, site mapping.
- Monitor site performance and make well informed decisions about optimization and restructuring. Lead quality control activities and establish testing processes and standards.
- Collaborate with the Nolk team to learn about business-side requirements and participate in finding effective solutions.
Requirements
- Shopify Development: 3+ years experience in Shopify web development, with strong experiences in Solid, Liquid and Shopify Slate.
- Front-end development: 3+ years of experience in HTML, SCSS/CSS and Javascript. Experience with version-control & CI/CD. Knowledge of modern best practices and patterns for frontend development
- Shipping quality user interfaces: Build and maintain quality user interfaces for a big audience. Good understanding of usability and visual design. Experience with transitions and animations would be a plus.
- Team player: For you, work is not a solo game. You love collaborating with people and you enjoy spending time with your team.
- Empathetic communication: You can easily explain complex ideas to developers and to people without technical backgrounds. In disagreements, you engage thoughtfully with other perspectives and commit to the best solution. You are an effective listener, and speak fluent english and/or french.
- Passionate and driven: You are deeply passionate about the projects you are working on. You love to build sleek user interfaces and are genuinely excited about making customers' lives easier.
- Location: Remote / work from home flexibility.
Bonus Point
- You're interested in UX & UI design.
- You have previously built gorgeous user interfaces with small teams, created entrepreneurial projects or launched your own e-commerce store.
- You have interests outside of technology, such as in art, sports, travels or photography.
