QA Engineer - Roadtrippers

The RoleRoadtrippers is looking for detail-oriented problem solver to join the team as a QA Engineer for its trip planning platform. The QA Engineer will share responsibility for quality control of our Web and Mobile Apps, focusing on both automated and manual testing as well as developing test plans and supporting testing platforms.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement automated testing of our Web and Mobile apps
- Monitor and respond to issues with automated testing systems
- Communicate with Engineering and Product teams about testing requirements and anomalies
- Perform manual QA testing as needed
- Perform performance tests as required
- Contribute in integrating automated tests to CI
- Review and provide guidance on test approach and strategies to ensure that they are complete and appropriate
- Actively identify, participate and implement initiatives for continuous improvement of testing, quality, and processes
Qualifications
- Experience managing and implementing automated testing suites (Selenium, Mabl, RainforestQA, CircleCI, CodeClimate, etc.) necessary
- Familiarity and experience with writing specs/functional tests preferred (RSpec)
- Understanding of web application architecture (JavaScript, CSS, React, Ruby on Rails familiarity)
- Familiarity with Chrome Developer Tools or similar
- A 'do what it takes' attitude and a passion for great user experience
- Strong communication skills and experience working with highly technical teams
- Passion for identifying and solving problems
- Comfort in a fast-paced, highly-dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders
