Software Engineer - Applications

- Experience building and maintaining web apps across multiple browsers, operating systems, and form factors
- Have detailed understanding of how browsers work and the differences between rendering and JS implementations
- Strong understanding of CSS and pre-processing
- Deep, fundamental understanding of the document object model (DOM)
- Angular, React, or similar front end frameworks
- Must have an open mind and a hunger to continually learn new things
- Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
- Comfortable adapting quickly to changing requirements
- Working knowledge of deployment on Google Cloud, Amazon AWS, or Azure
- Full mastery of git
Nice to have:
- Experienced with server-side development. Serverless in Go, TypeScript, and/or Python will be especially relevant.
- REST API design experience
- Data modeling (relational, key-value)
- Exposure to design tooling manipulation (Figma, Invision, Sketch, etc.)
- PWA experience
- Knowledge of design thinking and UI/UX design principles
